DRUG MENACE a 26:25 minute length short film , a Rhiturong multimedia production film by Rhituraj Dutta produced by COSEHDA. The story/screenplay/dialogue have been done by Hemanta Gogoi .

The basic storyline of the short film is a journey of young man who get addicted to drugs through his friend circle and after that how he rehab himself. This film is just to show the Menaces of drugs addiction.

The simple plot of the film started from Neel a young man who who have just escaped from a drugs scandal and after realising the loss parents send him to rehab centre. The new Assamese sensation famous face from 'duti monor junak' actor KAMAL LOCHAN  bring the life to the story. The story can be divided into two sections; the first one is how a bad friends circle can destroy someone's life on the other hand the second one how a supportive family and friends can heal someone's life.

In casting Kamal Lochan is in the lead role as 'Neel' parallel to Nilakshi Saikia and to durgs also. Anupjyoti Choudhury Raju & Anupama Dutta Choudhury played the role of parents of Neel as well. Kukil saikia, Hirokjyoti Bordoloi, Podmarag Goswami and lots of known and unknown faces are there as in supportive role. They all have done a tremendous job in the film.

In acting Kamal Lochan is fluent and natural  as always. In negative role Kukil Saikia also done a decent job. There lots of unprofessional in the film who presents a considerable acting. Nilakshi Saikia, Anupjyoti Choudhury and Anupama Dutta Choudhury have played their roles fabulously.

The camera work , screen play and dialogue all are presented in a decent manner.

As a new generation even in a short film audience might expect some twist in a story but the story has been presented in a simple way. This film has a ability to attract audience due to their performance and there is no boring part in the film which is good as a short film. But I think at some point they could have exclude some scenes to show some intelligence of a screenplay which would have earned more intelligent audience.

There is one single song sang by Zubeen Gary 'O Jibon' with two rap composition.
